Goldsmiths Audio Drama Festival, 2019.

On Saturday 11th May, I had the pleasure of taking part in the Producer Panel on ‘Science Fiction and Fantasy Audio Drama’ at the Goldsmiths Audio Drama Festival. Moderated by the frankly inspirational audio fiction consultant and producer, Ella Watts, my fellow panelists included Zachary Fortais-Gomm (creator of The Orphans podcast), Mariele Runacre-Temple (casting manager at Audible UK and Wireless Theatre’s artistic director) and James Robinson of BBC Radio Drama. The panel itself was great fun, and the festival was a wonderful celebration of a medium very much on the ascendant. Thanks to the explosion of indie audio drama production over the last few years, and with Audible UK and now BBC Sounds embracing the podcast format, there’s never been a better to time to be involved in the most intimate of recorded media.
